Basket of Good Wishes

This is one of my more successful attempts at watercolor painting done waaayy back in 1994.   I think this little doodle, which is about actual size here, would make a cute get well card or one of those "thinking about you" type of cards. 

Paisley of the Week! Seafoam Paisley

Maybe it's synchronicity or maybe it's vanity but I always seem to be drawn to things that look like they could've been created by me.  Little Henry is an artist who I met on Etsy and immediately marked as a favorite.  I love the swish and swirl here of 'Seafoam Paisley' done in mixed media. It looks like you're looking up at the sky through ocean water doesn't it?

Busy Week

I have been invited to be one of several artists to paint a chair at The New Freedom Fest. I've been working on prepping the chair today and will a little bit tomorrow. I'm going to be in a tent painting it while people come and look. That might be a bit weird. I've been thinking of things to put on this chair. Its rungs and things are all small--not condusive to large detailed paisleys. I'll think of something!

In other exciting news both Collin and I won ribbons at the York County Fair!

Our pumpkins won ribbons too but ..um..we can't actually remember which pumpkins are ours so0oo, we'll know when we pick them up at the end of the fair.

Sending your procrastination confession out into cyberspace can be a great motivator to start checking tasks off of your list. Here is Miss K. on her new ladybug bean bag. Note the small ladybug in her hand.

Here are the two Goodwill shirts on which I used Celtic Mommy's freezer-paper stencil tutorial. They came out really nice, almost like a real silkscreen! I cannot decide whether or not to keep them or sell them. Here is my once favorite yellow t-shirt. I spilled coffee dead center in the middle so it's getting a little paint too. I'll post when it's done. Now, back to finishing off that list!
