Grownups like to color too!

A passerby named Tiffany pointed out, after this post, that she'd like a coloring book like the one I jokingly mentioned. I got to thinking--maybe she's not the only one. I love to color with my daughter, but Strawberry Shortcake and Elmo sort of bore me. I've got a file about a quarter of an inch thick of things that are 'in progress.' Why not make a genuine grownup coloring book? I know it's not an original idea. There have been other non-kiddie coloring books BUT none of those contain my original work. To test out consumer interest in this idea, I am running a contest. Leave a comment here on my blog. Be sure to leave a link for me to get back to you if you win. And, if you have an extra second, tell me how you heard of my giveaway--facebook, deviantart, twitter etc. I will randomly choose a winner on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. EST (and have it posted by 10:30). That lucky person will get the whole 10 page file FREE! Good luck!
P.S. The coloring book WON'T have watermarks!

I found you in the Etsy forums. I actually went looking for coloring pages for adults not too long ago and only found a few things, so I think making a coloring book for adults would be great!

I think a grownup coloring book is a great idea. I too am bored with kiddies books. I enjoy having abstract pictures that I can fill in with my colors of choice.

Got wind of the contest through Facebook.

Oh, I love it! Coloring books are like meditation, I think-- and a great chance to play with color techniques without the dread of ruining original work! The coloring book-- if you wouldn't mind- could be such a great tool for people to use as inspiration, or in collages, or to give to artistic older kids who haven't grown out of the coloring book years but don't want any kiddie stuff. I love your designs!

Oh, and I found you through the selfsame bloggette who receieved your free coloring book sample!:D

Tiffany had a great idea. An adult coloring book. That is so cool. I enjoy coloring it really help me unwind and relax. I work with special need children and after coming home after a hard day coloring would really nice. We color at school but it would be nice to have a grownup coloring book for once I got home.

I am so sorry I did not mean to make so many comments. I kept getting an error and had no idea the first one even went through. Please forgive me.

Pam, don't worry about it, that kind of stuff happens to me all of the time! Blogger has a very clunky system IMO. You can't get to anyone's blog unless you know the exact address. I'll just hide your oopses. Also, you need to leave me a link in case you win ;)

I like to color for relaxing. My day job involves numbers and I like to try to get to my other brain. It helps me to reflect. Facebook.
