The Secret Pumpkin

After all the other pumpkins were picked, we were getting ready to dispose of the vine and found this nice surprise hiding under the lavender bush.  It's late in the season so it might stay green.

Painted Paisley Chair

Started out with a plain rocker.  I had half a gallon of unused red paint so that became my base color.
I had a French Provincial sort of thing in mind.  But I just wasn't feeling it.  So I started over.
I went with cheerful colors of purple, green, pink, orange and yellow which contrasted very nicely with the red.
Last year the New Freedom Festival had us paint the chairs there at the event sort of as an attraction.  I prefered having time to think out my ideas and to be able to stop and start either just to let one section dry before adding another design layer or just to step back and think some more.  I think it came out even better than last year's chair (which was not too shabby!)  Anyway, the festival and auction are today.  I'm glad  I'll be scoping out the arts and crafts and eating Bricker's Fries instead of having to watch my paint dry.

Restful Blue

Sometimes you just want a background-y background that doesn't hide all of your icons or distract people from your content.  Here is a serene, blue, quietly abstract ocean to float behind your Twitter, MySpace, Desktop or Blog.

Two-Fer Thursday

Wordless Thursday was a wash anyway because I had to go blabbing there at the end of my post. It's rare that I post twice in a day so what's the occaision? Well, I'm a bit of a yesterday's newshound but I just discovered that one of my dearest wishes came true (last month.) Blogger has added a feature that allows us to upload our OWN pictures and papers to use as backgrounds. YAY! I've only wanted them to do that since 4-Eva! So to celebrate I am sharing three new lovely background designs with you. Use them for your blog ('cause now you can!) MySpace, Twitter or Desktop. Designs will tile.
You may not reproduce or redistribute to sell my designs, personal use only, please!
Enjoy these sweet flavors!  Top to bottom: Paisley's Candydish Black, Paisley's Candydish Orange, Paisley's Candydish Pink.

A Day Late
